Nightmares in Red, White and Blue: The Evolution of the American Horror Film

An exploration of the appeal of horror films, with interviews of many legendary directors in the genre. Nightmares in Red, White and Blue is an intriguing look at the history of American horror and the current events and cultural fears that fueled them from the original 1910 Frankenstein to the Saw series, and all movies and sub-genres in between.

But the best part of the documentary has got to be Friday the 13th montage. It is definitely worth watching for this alone, not to mention the insight into the minds and movies of some of the greatest horror directors of all time.
